moms of babies with lots of hair?
i think dd has a little craddle cap. on the one side of her head she has very scaley scalp that flakes of when combed. Ive been combing it alot to get the chunks off  but is there anything i can do to prevent it?
my whole family says olive oil but she has so much hair she would look dirty if i did that.. any suggestions?

We used petroleum jelly and combed it through. And then bathed him right after.

ds's derm recommended mineral oil... let it soak and then comb through and wash out.... it definitely helped... it took a long time for it to all come out

I used baby oil which has mineral oil in it. put it on dry then combed it then washed it. It took a couple of times but eventually you get it all out.

DS still has cradle cap at 8 months, there is nothing you can do to prevent it, we've tried everything.
You can use baby oil to help treat it though. We tried the olive oil too - it washes out.

We've been using petroleum jelly & putting it on at night & then washing it out in the am (yet its not easy)

We put Selsun Blue on his head initially and once it knocked out the cradle cap, we stopped using it and brushed his hair with baby oil for a while. It worked like a charm!

I put baby oil on DS head over night then cleaned it the next day, he never had it again. make sure you don't over bathe wehn ds was little he only bathed twice a week and his skin was in great condition

Honestly we didn't do anything. I guess it wasn't that bad. I figured it would fix itself in time.

Same...my DD has a ton of hair, and I didn't do anything and she's now 15 months and its gone.

We did Mineral oil and a comb before the bath and we just washed out the oil.
