moms of crawlers with wood floors

We have all wood floors. DD should start crawling in the next few months and Im concerned about the area rugs we have. They are super thin and its very hard. Did you get a thicker carpet for the areas where DC crawls or does it not matter?

Mason crawls over the place. His knees are red, but it doesn't bother him. I wouldn't worry. It's not concrete. Wood is soft. Carpet or wood... their knees will get red anyway

we do have an area rug, but it doesn't make a difference to him. In the playroom there's a playmat

We never changed a thing. He was fine with the area rugs.

The majority of my house is hardwood floors and tile.

I don't worry about it.

She's all over the place, and we don't even have area rugs. We just deal with the red knees & bumps on the head.

I have wood floors and a huge tile floor in our kitchen all in an open floor plan so my DCs were all over the wood and tile and barely on the area rugs....

and they did just fine!

Most of our house is hardwood. DS never had a problem crawling on it.
