Moms of DC around 2 years old....

do you feel like some days you just want to jump off of something very high?!?!?!?! I think this age makes the newborn phase look like a walk in the park.....

On one hand I love the increasing independence and ability to communicate, etc., but the headstrongness, random excessive clingyness, emerging tantrums, and getting into EVERYTHING is making me slowly go insane................Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

Don't think I'll miss this "phase"

Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon yes, it is VERY challenging.....I try very hard to remember the funny, sweet moments so when the bad ones come, I can remember he is NOT always like this. It helps a little.

You're kidding right? Chat Icon

Yesterday, DD bit her sister pretty hard, attempted to bite me twice; at the Gap she swung from tables, ran around them at full speed, writhed on the floor and had to be physically restrained by me AND her sister. Back at home, she insisted she had "poopoo" about 5 times when she didn't and threw her sippy cup at me.

A conversation on the phone with my DH went like this,
ME: I have one leg out the attic window right now.
HIM: That bad?
ME: Do you think...oh forget it.
HIM: Wine?
ME: Yeah.
HIM: Goodbye.

He arrived home 30 minutes later with a large bottle of Pinot. Chat Icon

Today, she insisted on wearing socks with her sandals and as I just sat here typing this a "Little People" came sailing at my head.

Good thing he bought a large bottle! Chat Icon

ETA: Can I just say though, with jokes aside (even though the previous was absolutely 100% true) that I actually love this age! I am totally going to miss 2 year old Abby! Chat Icon

ohhhhh yea we are soooo there. He either wants to sit on top of you when it's hot and your tired, or trying to type. But god forbid you should try to pick him up in public. I def agree baby phase walk in the park.

This made me LOL!!Chat Icon

DD is crazy and mischievous, but this age is too cute. She can be such a scootch one second and then the next she is trying to play patacake with her little sister. She is awful to her sister at times, like when she scratched the poor girl last night and left her with a mark on her faceChat Icon, but she is more often than not lovable and sweet. I also love that we can have conversations now and she can tell me what she wants and she always asking to help me do stuffChat Icon

Sorry for the tangent. I may bookmark this for myself for the next time she sits in timeout for most of the day like this past tues.Chat Icon Chat Icon
