Moms of DC who wear pedipeds
Did anyone start using pedipeds when DC started walking? Did you find them to be supportive enough (as opposed to stride rite type shoes)?

Yes, we used them and I loved them. They are soft soled, nothing like Stride Rite shoes, but DD wore the Originals for quite awhile after she started walking.

DS wore pedipeds when he was cruising. I've put them on him a few times once he was walking, but he doesn't seem as steady. The Stride Rite shoes definitely offer more support.

Loved them last summer. She wore them indoors as a slipper... outdoors we put her in laced sneakers as she figured out how to undo velcro. I just felt the bottoms were too thin for outdoors in case of a rock or something odd like a piece of glass GFB.

I have a couple of pairs-- and Sasha is cruising, but not walking. She's always barefoot indoors-- but I figured these will last til she is full on walking and i need other shoes.

my 2.5 yo DD still wears them (she has tiny feet)...I love them and my ped said they were perfectly fine for her to wear while walking.

I really like pedipeds.. we have a few pairs. Chloe still wears them, but they are definitely different than a real shoe. I think they are great for learning to walk. Chloe is 14 1/2 months and has been walking for about 1 month. I just got her stride rite sneakers yesterday. I do plan to put her in pedipeds sometimes too though..
