Mom's of girls: Ear piercing- At what age did you do?
In two weeks I will be taking my DD for her 2 month check up (wow that went quick).. I dont know if they do there but if they do, i would like to get done there. 2 months is probable to young, so i want to know what age did you do? Also did you go somewhere else besides a Dr. office ? can you recommend in case my Dr. doesnt do.

I took Julia when she was 3 months old, we went to a jewelry store by my house.

we did it right after her 2 month checkup..thats usually when its safe...we went to piercing pagoda at smithhaven mall..I thought the ladies there were great..
I was anxious to get it done after having a boy first

Oh, I didn't know it could be as soon as 2 months! After Erin's next Dr appt in a week, I am taking her there.

DD is 11 months and I want to do it, but think I waited too long. My ped talked me out of it, but I still kinda want them.
I had mine done older - my mom said she waited for me to ask for them. That's what my ped suggested as well.

my mom did the same with me and my sis. My sis did my neices when she was a baby and everything was fine. Im on the fence, but I think im going to do it.

I'll be doing it as soon as possible! It's a lot easier when they are infants as opposed to older girls... I had to help my GF with her daughters... oh what a story...
She took her because her DD wanted her ears done. After the first one in she got totally freaked, and had a FIT in the middle of the mall. My GF tried everything that she could to at first get her to finish the process, and secondly to get the earring out, and she would wait til a later date. She called me, and picked me up, and after speaking with her DD, I told her that I would get another piercing just for her to show her that it really didn't hurt!
Only after that did she get the other ear done. 
So, on that note... I will be doing DD's as soon as I can!

my mom did the same with me and my sis. My sis did my neices when she was a baby and everything was fine. Im on the fence, but I think im going to do it.
I personally don't think there's anything wrong with doing it young. I wish I did it when she was a few months old.

I took DD1 when she was 2 months old to Clairs. We have had no problems. I will be taking DD2 when she is 2 months old to get them done..

I am going to wait and let Victoria tell me when she wants to get her ears pierced. I love how baby girls look with pretty earrings but I love that my Mother let it be my decision since it was my body. It really stuck with me and I want to do the same for my daughter. I know it may not mean the same thing to her, but it's something I've always felt.
