Moms of girls with pierced ears

When did you do it? If you did it as a baby can you post a pic pretty please? Sydnie has an appt to have them done Thursday and now I am having second thoughts.

I had Sara's ears pierced when she was one however she was a bit busy at that age and took them out of her ears herself. I let them close up by the time she was 16 months. She is now almost 3. SHe wants earring now but I will make sure she knows they stay in her ears.

I do love how they look though

DD was 2 months shy of 5 when we did it. It was a great experience and now her 3 year old sister wants them done for Christmas.

Julia got them done when she was close to 4 months, she cried for only a few seconds and then she went to sleep in her carseat, acting like nothing happened. It was harder for me then it was for her--lol

Its better to get them done now, she doesn't know were her ears are yet and can't play with them and get them infected.

DD is getting them done Friday and she is 6 months. I was planning on getting them done at 3 months, but I chickened out Then everytime I made an appt I ended up cancelling it. I now realized that I need to get it done since I don't want her pulling at them.

I heard that it bothers the parents more than the babies..

Both my girls got them done the same day as their first round of shots. They both cried for MAYBE 1 minute after it was done and they calmed right down with a bottle. They never cared/noticed when I cleaned them and now at 1 and 2 years old neither has had a problem with them.

I had them done at 3 months, the same day as shots. She cried for only a split second and I have had no problems with them at all.

Im going to do it as soon as the pedicatrician gives us the green light without hesitation. DH is also on board.

I wanna get DD done but her father is dead set against it. I heard from a lot of people that its better to do it now then later. Im debating on just going and doing it behind his back.

I pierced DD ears at 4 months thats when her pediatricican gave the OK, basically after her second set of shots.She does not pull at them i don't think she knows that they're there

I numbed DD's ears with lidocane (her godmother is a nurse and gave the idea to use this) before we went.

My ped wont let me do it until she has 3 tetanus shots which will be at 6 months...

We did it around 4 months, I just went through a bunch of pics from when she was that young but I dont have any good ones that show off her ears lol.

DD was 5 months. We brought her to the Ped. and she cried for about 30 seconds and that was it. Im so happy that we decided to do it. I have pics in my album.

dd was around 10-11 weeks old when i got them piereced from the drs. i will admit right before the appt i got nervous and was very happy dh was able to make it to the appt to help, but it was over so quick and it didnt bother her, im glad that i went through with it then.i dont think there is anyway i would be able to do it now - shes 20 mths - she doesnt sit still and freaks when we go to the drs.

We got Rebeccas ears pierced when she was 2 months old, by the ped. no problems what so ever. I feel the sooner the better. She has never pulled on them or even shown that she knew they were there.

The day before I was on here and looking up stuff and had doubts...so glad I got them done....she looks great with them, so many cute compliements now like OH what a beautiful GIRL!!!
She also was in NO pain, she cried cause we had to hold her down, the Dr. numbed the ears and she was smiling when she was held up...such a great choice and after never doubted it for a sec
