Moms of in-between eaters (in b/w purees and complete table foods) what do you do when you go away?
This may be a stupid q but the idea of it is completely overwhelming me! I am just trying to make sure we stay somewhere with a kitchen this time - but is this really necessary? What do you do when you go away? DS will have just turned one year when we go away. TIA!

The babies were 10 months old when we went away. We are trying to transition to table food, but we are not that sucessful yet!
I just fed them organic jarred food. It was much easier for me and if they wanted to try a bit of what we were eating, I gave them some. However, most of it wound up on the floor.
I hope that helps!

at one I fed my daughter what ever we were eating. At restraaunts she ate off our plates. So what ever you eat feed to your DC. My 10 month old is on all table foods and when we travel we feed her when we eat. I don't see how its different from home I do bring crakers or cups of fruit for snacks.

I agree with Amanda. We went away when DS was 15 months old and he literally ate off my plate.
I would keep stuff in your hotel for a quick breakfast (i.e. cereal bars) and snacks (goldfish, teddy grahams) but you really should be fine.
I wouldn't go out of my way to stay someplace with a kitchen, but I hate to cook when NOT on vaca!

I guess its different for us b/c my almost 12 mo old is SO difficult with table foods! As in, I make food just for him (little meatballs, green beans chopped up, egg yolk, little pieces of cheese, fruit etc...) - he is not at the point where he can just eat what we are eating - plus, i only feed him organic food and i don't like to give him things were there are a ton of ingredients and i don't know what he is eating in case of any reaction etc. Maybe I can stop doing this now at his age? Anyway, I guess I was just wondering how I would be in a situation where I could be preparing his breakfast, lunch and dinner or if there is an alternative....I guess the alternative is just giving him what we are eating but, i can't imagine him eating enough that way...
