moms of newborn boys or who have been there
DS is 9 days old. So far he has been wearing onesies everyday since we haven't really gone anywhere except to my parents and my in-laws. I would really like to get him some cute summer outfits, like shorts with elastic waists and some cute tops. Where do you ladies shop for your young babies? Everywhere seems to have sized 3-6 months and up, and nothing smaller. The 0-3 month clothes are all onesies, but no cute bottoms, you know what I mean? I may head out to the mall today and leave DS with DH, so I am hoping to get some things for him. TIA!

What about rompers?
Where do you live?
Also - you can get a bunch of the little carter pants - they are very light, and pair them up with cute shirts
If you don't mind spending a little more, Gap baby has a lot of cute things, and Gymboree has cute mix and match outfits for newborns....

I agree with the rombers. I bought so many clothes last year and Steven work either just a diaper, a onsie or a romper.
That said, Carters and Gymboree have adorable ones! This year, I got mostly rompers for Steven. Oh, JCP has the carters ones on sale.

Re: moms of newborn boys or who have been there
Thanks ladies!
I live in Bayside, Queens, but will probably be going to Roosevelt Field. I will def. check out Baby Gap and Gymboree. I was out at looked at Children's Place and Old Navy yesterday and found nothing in his size, so I was starting to get discouraged lol. I asked my sister where she got clothes for her 3 yr. old DD when she was a newborn, and she said, I just put her in dresses. Ummm, well I don't think DH will appreciate coming home to Joseph in dresses! Thanks, I know it may be a dumb question, but I am so new to all of this, I haven't a clue!

I always loved the one piece carters rompers. They are adorable, Aside from that I wish I could tell you it gets easier shopping for a boy, but it doesn't. Very limited selection of clothes and shoes, IMO, anyway. Always the same stuff year after year.......boring!

I just got a whole BUNCH of rompers 70% at JCP in Queens Center mall. I know, it's not the best mall, but hey...at 70% off I'll go

Target actually has a few cute "dress" up outfits and Macys has a cute line called First Impressions.
You might also check TJMaxx or Filenes - places like that.

Honestly you won't find anything cute...IMO. Rylan is just fitting into 0-3 months and i'm beyond excited that he will finally be able to wear real clothes.
FYI...Baby Gap has alot of nice clothing in 0-3...I just bought Rylan a bunch of cute stuff.

Re: moms of newborn boys or who have been there
WHen my boys were really young
(before 6 months) I always had them in 1 piece outfits....
I felt that they really didnt fill out 2 piece outfits right until about 4 months old.
My kids lived in things like this: I got them at Century 21, Gap, and dept stores..... Congrats on your lil guy!!! Image Attachment(s):

Child's Place usually has pants for all sizes, though they don't fit DS the best. Old Navy is good also, as is Baby Gap, though it's more $$$.
When DS was a newborn, I used the playsuits a lot, though he was a winter baby and we were home a lot. I haven't really put shorts on him yet.

The Gap is my favorite by far! I also love Carters and Gymboree....100% cotton, soft and light clothing is the best for little ones...

First impressions and Pooh classic were the cutest for DS at Target. They stop at 9 months and I hated that.

Re: moms of newborn boys or who have been there
I loved the Carter's rompers at this age (my DS was born at about the same time last year) DS wore them all summer last year.
I am not that impressed with Baby Gap actually, they have like 40 racks of girls stuff and 2 of boys

Re: moms of newborn boys or who have been there
I've been buying Carter's Rompers as well for DS. I got a bunch of them from Target and BRU. I also find a lot of cute stuff at Old Navy and BabyGap. I got some cute summer clothes from Old Navy online in the "Bargains" section. I also ordered a bunch of stuff from kidsurplus.com - including Carter's pants to wear with his onesies.
