Moms of night time potty trained children
DS has been toilet trained for about a month or so now. He has been night time toilet trained since the beginning. We live in a cape and have no bathroom upstairs but I put a potty in his room. Within the last couple weeks, he has learned if he says "mommy I gotta go peepee" we will come in and take him to the bathroom since he refuses to go on the potty. Recently he has done this about 10 times a night. He always pushes out something. We put him to bed at 8 pm and I have been up there 4 times. He peed 3 x and pooped once. We cut him off from food and drink way before bed so I am not sure what to do. I feel like if I ignore it, he will have an accident. Any suggestions?

Bump for anyone please? I let him cry it out and he just pooped in his pants. This is really crazy!

Re: Moms of night time potty trained children
let me know when you figure it out.
We had that problem. He slept for 3 weeks at night without peeing. Super. Then he started getting up once a nice and then it turned into 3 times a night.
Now we cut off liquids by 6:30, with the exception of a little water after he brushes his teeth.
So eventually we had to explain to him that he has to hold it or he can go in his pull up at night. He refuses to go in his pull up. Sometimes i'd go in his room when he woke, tell him to lay down, i'll tuck him in again, he has to hold it, etc etc. He would whine a bit.
it took a few days and now he's back to sleeping at night. Good luck.
I felt mean sometimes telling him no and that he had to hold it, but i know he can. IF he gets up once a night to pee, okay i'll bring him. But that's it. no more after that.
