Moms returning to work soon?
How old will your DC be when u return to work?
I am undecided b/c DD will be 11 weeks but I can take off until she is 12 weeks. My MIL has agreed to keep DD Mon-Wed and my mom will keep on Thurs. and Fri. DS will be in daycare just on Mon. and Tues and my MIl will pick him up.
Will one week make a big difference?

I go back next Mon Ds will be 8 weeks old. I wis I had more time with him but I need to work to provide him with everything he needs (I make way more than DH). He will be going to a daycare provider.

Re: Moms returning to work soon?
I'm going back when DD is 13 weeks. I wish I could be a SAHM [and I NEVER thought I would want to!] but we can't afford it. Maybe if you feel like you will be ok going back at 12 weeks vs. 13, you can save that week to take off in a few months when the kids are even older.

Being that your MIL and Mom is watching her I don't think it makes a difference, if she were goign to daycare I'd delay for as long as I could

Re: Moms returning to work soon?
DS will be 12 weeks old when I go back to work. I think that having family watch the baby makes the transition a bit easier for returning to work. DH and I are using an in home day care provider, whom I love, but she is still not family. I am sure the transition will be difficult. I think that if you can save that extra week and use it around the holidays or when you want to take a day or two here and there it would be better.

Re: Moms returning to work soon?
I'm supposed to go back the first week of Dec. She'll be 14weeks old.
She's going to Daycare
I'm trying to squeeze out my last few vacation days and Personal Days and may even go two days without pay so I can stay home the first week of Dec while she goes to Daycare because I KNOW I'll be a wreck

Re: Moms returning to work soon?
I'll be going back when DD is 12 weeks old. I work 4pm-12am and Dh is home by 3pm, so DD will always be with one of us, so I am hoping this makes the transition a smooth one, I only had DD a week ago, and already I can't imagine going back to work.
