moms that work part time- need support
I am going back to work Monday after my maternity leave and i am sick over it. Dont want to leave her at all. i will be working part time...2 days per week. how bad is it?
Did you also have this sick feeling before going back and does it get better.
Thank God my mom is the one watching her, but I still hate that I have to go to work.

After going back to work to FT after maternity leave I can tell you that when I decided to work PT (also 2 days per week) it's really not that bad. I am a SAHM for 5 days and only work 2 days. I concider myself very fortunate to be able to do so.

I work PT about 20 hours per week. I was freaking out after DS was born & I had to go back, but honestly, it hasn't been so bad. I'm still home with the kids the majority of the time. It took a week or two before I stopped feeling sad, but it's been fine.

It may suck at first, but it gets easier as it goes. And I didn't think i would have said this when I was going back the first time but you are able to get a little adult time (especially if it is only 2 days a week) and not feel guilty plus help the family (financially) Good luck!!!!!

Re: moms that work part time- need support
Honestly, I love working PT. It gives me a chance to get out of the house and have some adult time, I get to keep my professional skill sharp, and the extra money really helps. And I get to be home with him the majority of the time. Once you get over the initial shock of going in, you'll be fine
