Moms w/2 or more little one's...
I've been feeling a bit down about things. I know every child develops in his or her own time, but Connor doesn't do a lot of the stuff that some of the babies are doing at his age and even younger? What's bothering me is that it's not that he doesn't do these things really it's that mommy doesn't have the time to devote to just Connor all day teaching him these things like I did with Caiden. I feel like a bad mom. I remember with Caiden I worked on reaching each milestone you know? With Connor I do work with him, but it's nothing like if you only have one baby. Having an almost 3.5 yr old running around at the same time makes it VERY difficult. I'm trying my best but I still feel like I'm not doing "my" job. He can't hold his bottle yet, well I just don't think he wants to, he isn't crawling but is soooo interested in walking while holding his hands, he makes a lot of sounds, but has really only said da da nothing else, he can't wave bye bye, things like that. I can tell he's really smart though, he just doesn't seem to care to do some things. I don't think he's having trouble with it at all so that's why I'm not worried. I just feel like he's "behind" in his skill already. Anyone else dealing with this? Thanks!
Oh, also I was always on top of things on what Caiden should be doing and around when. With Connor I feel clueless and there's just not enough hours in the day. Thanks for letting me share!

believe me, even as a baby, he is watching you and learning.. even more so, he is watching his brother.. it'll come in his time.. he's still very young.

Dont feel that way at all. I feel the same way when it comes to Christopher. He isnt doing what Matthew is doing, just like you said holding his own bottle or even trying to crawl, and I say to myself what more can I do with him to have him catch up. But I see things that Christopher does that Matthew hasnt, such as the teeth coming in. Christopher got his teeth faster than Matthew. I even hear stories of people who have kids that are younger than Christopher and they are doing more things than he is. He will catch up. Every baby does things differently, and you cant compare them to others...im finally learning that. As he gets older, he will learn from your older child. Dont be so hard on yourself

Every child is different. Never compare it will drive you bonkers. And as Krisiti said he is watching his brother they are the best teachers.

Dont be so hard on yourself! I totally understand how you feel about how you just don't have the time with Connor like you did with Caiden. I feel the same about Jack and Molly. But Molly doesn't know any different and she is super happy, wakes up with a smile on her face, laughs hysterical at her brother and is an all around happy baby. I'm sure Connor is just the same in that he is perfectly happy and thinks you spend great quality time with him.
You just have to remember that things will not be the same as with your first. There are some days where I look at Molly and think "Hmm...did I feed you lunch today?" Whereas with Jack I had a list of the what he ate, when he ate, when he pooped!
Connor is still a baby and from what you described he sounds like he is right on target! Hey, be happy he isn't crawling yet...your life will be easier for a little while longer. I'm praying Molly doenst start walking at 9 months like Jack did!
So, don't be so hard on yourself and remember that he will be in college before you know it and no one will ask him when he started crawling.
