Moms who are home in the summer-getting ready question
How do you get ready in the morning?
I'm a teacher so normally everyone is asleep for my morning routine.
I'm the summer though, I always feel like I'm scrambling.
Do you wake up earlier to have YOU time?
Do you wake when the kids wake up and scramble, lol?

Re: Moms who are home in the summer-getting ready question
I usually shower at night and depending on what we're doing in the summer my hair is usually thrown up and I put on makeup and get dressed. Summer is casual unless we have something. My boys are older though so entertain themselves in the morning and get themselves ready while I do my own thing. They start camp next week so it will be more scheduled then.

Moms who are home in the summer-getting ready question
I wake up at 5:30 and go to the gym. I get home at 6:30 and shower. My son is 5 and is pretty self sufficient so he can watch a show while I get ready.

Re: Moms who are home in the summer-getting ready question
My kids make their lunch for camp the night before. They are old enough to get themselves ready, in clothing they picked out. I give gentle reminders to brush teeth and put an ice pack in their bags before driving everyone all over the place (multiple camps). Other years they took camp busses. My kids have been getting their clothing on since they were 4 themselves. I would encourage them to be season appropriate. But they have free reign to pick what they wear.

Moms who are home in the summer-getting ready question
My husband is up early for work so he showers first and then I shower after him, usually anywhere between 645 - 715am. My 8 year old is normally awake around 7am and my 3 year old around 8am. My 8 year old watches TV if I'm still getting ready for the day.

Moms who are home in the summer-getting ready question
I wake up earlier than the kids so that I can get ready and be prepared. The craze of us all trying to get ready at the same time each day drive me insane, I cannot do it.

Re: Moms who are home in the summer-getting ready question
unfortunately right now i am a "SAHM" (currently looking for a job) and this week and next the kids don't have camp. I do what I do on the weekends (if DH isn't home if he is he is usually great at dealing with them and letting me sleep)I just get up when i want. Usually my son will just wake me because he is hungry I will feed him and then usually my daughter at the same time (she is older and will either feed herself or just wait) if we have nothing to do I usually go back to my bed maybe sleep again or just lay there for a while.
The days I have somewhere we have to be I do what I do even when I am working. I try to prep everything I can the night before, anything that needs to be brought with us, clothes are laid out etc.
Either way I set my alarm get up if they are not up I wake them feed them then shower get myself ready. Kids brush there teeth and get dressed (though most times I will dress my son). then we are out the door.
