moms who are teachers... keeping kids on schedule in the summer

Do you try to keep your kids on the same school year schedule during the summer? For example. DD goes to bed about 730-8 during the school year should i insist on that bedtime throughout the summer? See i am a stickler for routines where my dh is not so he is like whats the difference its the summer you are home. UHHH i am only home for 8 weeks niot 8 months. Same with DS i want him to get used to a routine that will continue in to the fall..am i wrong?

In the summer months there is just too much going on to be strict with the bedtimes and any sort of schedule..so we stick with the same routine as much as possible but never to any sort of schedule...

My girls are all school aged and go to sleepovers and stuff. So it's not possible. But the overall routine is as much the same as during the rest of the year as we can make it...bedtime and meal times just vary.
