Moms who BF and pump...
I nurse Connor when I'm home and at lunchtime, but the other times that I can't because I'm at work I pump. I pump 2 times a day. I seem to get a lot more milk in the morning than I do in the afternoon. Does this happen to anyone else? Thanks!

Yes, this is very common, and happens to me. As your body is tired/more stressed, it produces less. Also, it depends on how long and how much your son last ate. I've also noticed the longer I'm in the routine, the better my body has responded. Drinking A LOT of water during the day also helps the afternoon pumping session.

10 ounces in one pumping - that is awesome!!!!! I'm pumping 4-5 times a day to get the 20ounces I need for his bottles.

OMG!!! 10oz. and then you nurse 45 minutes later!! I can't even get 10oz after pumping 2 sessions. I could never nurse that soon after pumping. There isn't anything left!!!

That's 10 oz first thing in the morning without pumping or nursing for nearly 10 hours. I wake up and then pump. Then I shower or feed DD.
During the day I never get that much. That is why I pump before I even feed DD.

Re: Moms who BF and pump...
I would love to do that, but whenever I pump I wouldn't have anything left for DS when he woke up unless it was 2 hours later? I wonder how I could do that with making sure he has enough to eat.
Also, my b@@bs don't get engorged anymore. They're pretty much normal even after hours and hours of not nursing. I don't think I'd get that much? What do you think?

Re: Moms who BF and pump...
Your body makes more milk in the morning. THat is typical and normal. Eat oatmeal and pump an extra 5-6 minutes in the afternoon. That should help.

Re: Moms who BF and pump...
I pump at lunch time at work and I get about 10 ounces. Luckily, he only eats 8-10 ounces when I'm at work. But I have tried pumping at other times, like evenings I never get more that 5 ounces.
