Moms who have flown lately
Can you tell me what exactly you can take on the plane as far as beverages for the kids go. Can I bring the mini bottles of water or juice boxes?
TIA

Re: Moms who have flown lately
I don't *think* you can bring water or juice...
I think the only thing that's allowed to be brought through security is prepared formula/breast milk....
Other than that - I think you have to buy it.
ETA: There is no question about the formula and/or BM.... you are TOTALLY allowed to bring that through. You can bring through the amounts that you need to get you through the flight and your airport wait.
When we went to Cabo this past summer - I brought through (4) 8 oz bottles in her carry on cooler bag.... One was extra just in case, and the others were for her to either drink, or to use to mix her cereal with.

Re: Moms who have flown lately
I want to say that the last time we flew with DS (he was 20 months) we bought a few drinks after we passed through the gates. I thikn I just brought a few sippy cups in my carry on and filled them after we passed the gates.

Re: Moms who have flown lately
We just flew last week:
Leaving from LaGuardia: They let us take a sippy of water and 2 juice boxes without testing it or saying a word.
Leaving Pensacola: Wouldn't let us take any juice boxes without opening them and testing the liquid, and then we were only allowed like 3oz. They made us open the sippy with water and tested the water.
It is by far easier to just buy it in the airport after you get through security.
As far as formula or BM, I don't know, you should call and ask.

Re: Moms who have flown lately
Once you pass through security you can always buy a bottle of juice or something for the plane. Usually if the bottle is unopened they let a bottle of juice or water through.

Re: Moms who have flown lately
We we travelled with DS when he was still on formula I would premeasure the mix into a couple of bottles and then buy water after we passed security and fill them as needed.

Re: Moms who have flown lately
Thanks ladies! We're out of the BM and formula stage - I was just wondering if I was allowed to bring mini botttles of water or something. I wasn't thinking that I could buy it after we go through security.
