Mom's whose DC had a reaction to the MMR shot.
Jaidy has had a fever since Monday mid-morning. It has gone from 101 to 103.2 tonight. She has no other symptoms except the fever (no boogies, not pulling on her ears, not complaining of any pain) When she is on Motrin she is her usual self until it wears off then she acts like a kid who has a high fever and is very clingy/cryish. Anyone else have this kind of reaction after the shot (she had it on 12/6) I didn't even think of it until my DH mentioned it tonight. Just wondering if anyone else had this type of reaction. TIA

Jack didn't have a reaction but she is def. still in the timeframe for this to be one.
I would keep monitoring her fever and keep up with the Motrin.
Hoping the fever is gone tomorrow!!!

Re: Mom's whose DC had a reaction to the MMR shot.
She had a 101 on Monday at like 10:30 at Day Care. There has been a fever going around in her class so I thought for sure it was that. Then my DH mentioned she got the MMR and the Dr said she could get a fever from 7-12 days. (He took her to get the shot) I was just wondering if anyone else had a reaction that lasted this long.

Re: Mom's whose DC had a reaction to the MMR shot.
That was Cailen to a T. His heart was palpitating from the high fever and he was lethargic - my ped told me to come over - he would wait for me (it was Friday after work)
I gave him motrin before we left. By the time the ped saw him, Cailen was running around like a lunatic - his typical, everyday self.
The ped said he would be like that for a few days. It was awful though!!!!

DD had a reaction 9 days after the shot - she had 104 fever and got a rash the next day - it lasted 2 maybe 3 days.

Re: Mom's whose DC had a reaction to the MMR shot.
Thanks everyone. So far she has had no fever since she woke up this morning. She woke up screaming at 12:30 last night and was covered in sweat so hopefully that was the fever breaking.
