Mom's with DD in a 2 year old preschool program or BTDT mom's
Do you always dress your DD is pants? or dresses with tights?
I'm new to putting DD in tights but she has tons of cute fall dresses to wear. also is it still too warm to have her wear tights? I just don't want her to sit on the floor and have everyone see her diaper

Pants and saved the cute stuff for weekends and class picture day.
The school asked us to send them in play clothes which was good because quite a few things were ruined when the paint they used didn't wash out. I used to pick up inexpensive long sleeve tees and yoga pants from Target and then I didn't care about ruining them.

I've been sending DD in dresses/skirts so far. I'll probably start with the tights in another week or two because it hasn't been too cold. I know they say to wear play clothes but I just can't . She wears play clothes at home when we don't do anything. It doesn't bother me if she gets her clothes dirty at school - she has plenty more. I wouldn't worry about the diaper thing too much. The other kids probably wouldn't even notice.

She wears dresses occasionally. I bought those jean diapers by Huggues in case certain dresses didnt come with the diaper covers. I also put leggings under some dresses.

Our school requests that the girls not wear dresses or skirts except on their birthday. They feel that dresses can hinder them on the playground and that they can be freer to paint and play if they are not worried about ruining their clothes.

Re: Mom's with DD in a 2 year old preschool program or BTDT mom's
AJ is only 24mo
So all of her skirts have those shorts underneath. They've asked us to send her in 'comfortable clothes' which in Texas is not yet pants time. She's been going in skirts, capri and shorts. All of her school stuff is pretty much target sale or walmart cheap stuff. They have reallly cute stuff that's pretty decently priced and I'm not overly concerned with the mess.
They've put smocks on her for painting and markers but she still occassional comes home with a few marks on her stuff.
ETA: they actually have a uniform but since she's not yet 3 its optional. Its a choice of long shorts, paints, pleated skirt or plaid dress... with the matching or coordinating short sleeve school embroidered shirt. Not looking forward to shelling out the cash for that next year and keeping them clean!

I maybe put her in a dress once or twice w/o tights, b/c she's potty trained I didnt trust her to be able to pull up her tights after going to the bathroom.
Even now at her new school, they tell you to have the children wear easy off and on clothing since the teachers arent supposed to help the children.
