Moms with stairs or 2 story house...what do you have doubles of?

When DS was born we lived in a one story house and I moved the bouncey from room to room, now w/#2 I'm thinking I'll need 2 bouncey seats, maybe a changing pad downstairs somewhere? I'd love to have a PNP up & downstairs (for naps and changing) but is that too much?? What do you have doubles of?
TIA!

THe only thing we had 2 of was an FP swing and that was becuase someone lent us one. Honestly they use the stuff for such a short period of time you don't need to buy that much stuff Chat Icon

We just have a pack and play downstairs. Everything else we only have one of and keep them downstairs where we spend most of our time. He is really only upstairs when sleeping. The only thing I feel like I need is a little hamper for his clothes since a lot of times I end up changing him down here.

I only have a changing table as a double and only because it was a great deal for 19.99, lol.
The PNP I would use downstairs only, I would put him in the crib otherwise upstairs. Actually DS took his naps in the bouncy since he tended to spit up.

I had 2 bouncy seats..one for downstairs and one for upstairs--best thing ever!

I also kept my pack n play upstairs in my room even though neither girl slept in it at night..it was just a safe place when i needed it.

I kept the bassinet downstairs and the babies slept in their cribs upstairs.

We kept the PNP with the bassinet/changer downstairs to use for diaper changes.

We also have the travel swing on a different floor than the regular swing (but we traveled ALOT with #1, which is why we had a travel swing).

Nothing. If they were upstairs they slept in their crib, downstairs the PNP. Used the changing table on the PNP downstairs.

I'd carry the bouncy up and down as needed. They are so light I could carry it in one hand and the baby in the other if I really needed to.

The swing stayed downstairs, but I didn't use it much anyway.

Doubles of bouncy seat, and 2 exersaucers..I keep my PNP downstairs with the changing table atttachement and use it both as changing station/ napping area...I also have a spare play-yard I keep in my bedroom ( but this was an extra from a friend- not something I bought )

Nothing. He sleeps in his crib upstairs with a video monitor on him. I feel like it would be too much clutter if I had doubles. My friend did get a cheap cherry changing table for her den which I thought was a great idea. I use a changing pad on the table Chat Icon

I wouldn't plan to purchase doubles of anything. Its really not necessary in my opinion. Keep the PNP downstairs to sleep, change and use the crib upstairs. Carry the bouncy seat from room to room. I'd put that money towards diapers, wipes, formula, etc...

Re: Moms with stairs or 2 story house...what do you have doubles of?

I am a mommy of twins to be so I asked the same awhile back......after so much debating we decided on a changing area upstairs and downstairs
-pack and play downstairs(doubles as changing station)
-bassinets are upstairs and cribs...they will mostly sleep upstairs....
i would get another bouncy if you find a good sale this way the dreaded won't happen. You KNOW you will get downstairs your first day home with baby in arms and realize you left bouncy in nursery LOL.....

First I had the PNP with the changing table on it downstairs. Then when he outgrew that I had a regular changing table down here.

I also kept the Bouncy seat down here - and the Newborn to Toddler Rocker upstairs

I have double of the changing table, which is a must!!, a.nd thats pretty much it, we spend most of the time downstairs during the day so i didn't think we needed to get a double bouncy seat. I have the pack n play downstairs and his crib and bassinett upstairs in his nursery

Two boppys - one in den, one in DS's room. When he was younger I kept the PNP in the den and used that changing table. Now that he's too big I just change him on the floor downstairs if I don't feel like going upstairs. I kept a bouncy seat upstairs too when he would actually sit in it.

Re: Moms with stairs or 2 story house...what do you have doubles of?

No doubles of anything. I had the PnP downstairs for naps, but she hated it. She slept in the bouncy more than the PnP. For diaper changes I just carried her up the stairs. Occasionally, I would pull out the pad I use when we got out from her diaper bag and change her on the floor, but that was/is really once in a blue moon.

I don't have doubles of anything....we kept the PNP downstairs for changes, the swing downstairs (which he napped in the first few months), then once we got out of the swing for naps he slept in the crib upstairs.
