Montessori School
We live in NJ and were considering putting our DS in a Montessori school in September when he is 18 mths. His current daycare was good when he was an infant but as he is getting to be a toddler, I don't really see them doing anything for him. The activities are limited. I'm also bothered by the fact that they sometimes have HS students watching him (with another adult). So today I went and looked at 2 Montessori schools by us. I have an appt to see a 3rd one later this week. Tuition for the Montessori school and daycare are comparable (if not a bit cheaper). Has anyone sent their kids to a Montessori school? I am looking for feedback. TIA

Re: Montessori School
I'm not in NJ but the Montessori schools near me mostly start at 3 a few start at 2. I didn't know they had preschool for 18 mo old - that is interesting!

Re: Montessori School
My DD goes to a Montessori school. She has been there since she was 3.5 months and is now 13 months. We love it.
One thing to point out - the term "Montessori" is not trademarked and anyone can claim to be a Montessori school even if they don't follow all of the models, beliefs and teachings. You should be sure that it is not just a regular daycare calling themselves a Montessori.
