More work begins on the house tomorrow - B4 Pic Attached

We are having a closet built in the wall in our kitchen. The closet will be built into the garage.

The closet will be for the Washer and Dryer that we bought on monday, and then on the other side will be shelving.

We are also moving the refrigerator, and putting it against the wall and a large pantry next to it.

I will take pics before and after.

Where the frig is now and the washer is will be completely empty...giving us more room in the kitchen....

I cannot wait. It is a Pain to do the wash in the kitchen, and the dryer is in the garage.

It is a Pain to do the wash in the kitchen, and the dryer is in the garage.

I did it in my paretns house like that for years. They actually still have it that way in their levitt. The worst was most time we had to go out though the front door since the access to the garage was in my mothers office and there was always clients in there. So walking the front door in the snow with a laundry basket was always fun.

yeah we arent moving anywhere for a few years.....

I just look at other houses. It is a bad habit lol.

We have the same guy that did our backsplash in the kitchen doing the work. He is a licensed contractor. He just redid my inlaws house.....Did such a great job.

Ok here is the wall where the closet will be built. The closet will start from where the phone is and go to the left. The refrigerator will be moved to the right of the phone in the corner, along with a big pantry.

that's sounds great.

But, reading this thread thats what I do, in my house wash in the kitchen and dry in the garage and I have to walk outside in all sorts of weather, I never did this before I really thought I was just one of few.

nope. The refrige on the left will be moved. That will be completely open after the stove.

It is so nice having the washer and dryer in the kitchen.

I have the same and once you have that convenience of not having to go outside or up and down the basement stairs you won't want to live any other way.

I have to post updated pics later.....Closet is built and insulated. Electrician came and fixed everything. He will be back when the appliances are delivered.

Here are the pics during the work

We still have to have the contractor come back and install a cabinet over the frig that I ordered, and a new Pantry.

Plus he will be doing custom molding around our front door on the outside of the house with a nice mantle to hide the spot where the over the door light used to be
