Morning Sickness & Miscarriage
I was just reading online that some studies suggest that the more morning sickness you experience, the more likely you are to carry to term. Additionally, the longer you actually suffer with the morning sickness, the better your chances of going to term.
On the flip side, women who had no morning sickness were 3 times more likely to miscarry.
According to my phone apps and online research, I am about 6w4d and i know some women already had morning sickness set in.
Has anyone else read anything about this?

Re: Morning Sickness & Miscarriage
I wouldn't worry too much, some women never get any morning sickness, consider yourself lucky up to now, it can hit you at anytime and since you're so early on it could be in a few hours or even days or not at all. Symptoms this early on also come and go, don't go by symptoms. Go by your dr and sonos and that's it.
The beginning is hard bc we don't feel the baby yet but try to think positive.

Stop googling! You will find that everyone is so different and it means nothing in their individual experience. Your best bet is to stay as blissfully ignorant as possible! Besides, 6w is still early for ms.

Re: Morning Sickness & Miscarriage
I literally drove myself crazy with worry over morning sickness. Most women I spoke to said morning sickness didn't set in until 7 weeks so I wouldn't worry, you're still so early and some (lucky) women don't get it at all.

Re: Morning Sickness & Miscarriage
I know it's hard not to worry no matter what the circumstance. I had no morning sickness at all and DD is 2 months old and perfect! My mother and mil both only had morning sickness with some of their pregnancies.

i never had any morning sickness with my DD who is 2 years old. she is advanced for her age and thriving.
i had terrible morning (all day) sickness with this pregnancy, but it didn't start until almost 8weeks. it lasted until 18weeks. it's starting to come back, and i'm 34 weeks.

Re: Morning Sickness & Miscarriage
If you don't have it be thankful!!! I read this and this was my thinking as well....and then 6 weeks and a few days it hit me full force....so much that I was puking 4-5 times a day all day and couldn't keep food down. So if everything is going smooth then enjoy it!

Re: Morning Sickness & Miscarriage
I did when I was pg with DD and it scared the hell out of me. Stop Googling; the internet is NOT your friend this time. Not all women get sick. I had 0 morning sickness when I was pg with DD... and she's absolutely perfect.

Re: Morning Sickness & Miscarriage
Please do not worry yourself over this. I had literally NO morning sickness. NONE. I had no symptoms for the first trimester except widening hips. I had a perfectly healthy pregnancy that was complication free and went to term.
And besides, your m/s could start tomorrow, and then you'll regret this post as if it was a jinx. It can start and end at any time.

Morning Sickness & Miscarriage
Totally not an indicator at all from what I have observed. Step away from the google, and if you don't get any morning sickness, be happy about it!

Morning Sickness & Miscarriage
Please try not to think about it. My dd is living proof that it's not true. When I was pregnant with her, i had no morning sickness at all. I didn't show until my 3rd tri, I didn't have sore boobs or even tiredness. She is now almost 10 months and absolutely perfect. Active, but perfect. I am 10 weeks now and the same .....no symptoms excepy tiredness, but that is probably fron chasing dd around. Feel well!!

Stay away from that! I was never sick but felt nausea beginning in my 6th week. Some women are lucky to never get it!

Re: Morning Sickness & Miscarriage
With my first DS, the morning sickness did not hit until 8 weeks but when it did it was strong and lasted until 16-17 weeks. I also still held food down (only carbs) and gained weight.
This time around I got morning sickness before 6 weeks and it went strong until about 16-17 weeks and still is lingering on and off. I lost almost 10 pounds until I was finally able to hold food again.
However, I don't think morning sickness and pregnancy viability are related. My Dr. says different women handle hormone surges differently. I would love to trade with someone else b/c severe morning sickness like I get is overbearing. Most of my friends have had no or mild morning sickness and delivered healthy babies!
BTW - CONGRATS TO YOU GUYS - SO HAPPY FOR YOU!

Re: Morning Sickness & Miscarriage
I had no morning sickness for BOTH of my pregnancies. Both went full term, and actually would have both been late, had I not gotten scheduled csections.

I don't think there is any truth to it. If there was my dr would have expressed concern over my lack of ms.
