Oh okay.

I feel like an idiot now b/c I said "Sure, no problem" when she asked me to call.

Oops.

i dont see why you are all upset about the REA keeping in contact with the buyers and sellers. in my general practice, i make sure i call all parties (buyers, buyers attorney, sellers, sellers attorney) at least twice a week so that everyone knows whats going on. in this business, if you rely strictly on attorneys to do everything, it will take 6 months to close! if you have a good REA then they should be staying on top of things and know whats going on. i EARN my commission check, i dont just show up at closing with an open hand.

Re: mortgage company wanting copy of purchase contract

She called and got me on the phone. I said we'd be talking to our attorney Monday and my attorney would work on getting the contract from the seller's attorney so we could get the ball rolling.

She asked if there were any problems - I just said there were a few items we'd discuss and talk about witheach other and our realtor, and we'd be in touch on Monday to get the contract together. I made it clear I wasn't waiving any right to negotiate further, but that we were definitely ready to move forward.

I didn't give her any info - just said we'd be in touch with our attorney. We want to keep going, so we should be in contract by the end of next week.
