exactly what I don't want to be doing. spending my first mother's day schlepping between our mother's homes.

I booked a table at Timberpoint Country Club for brunch - because I knew if I didn't, my mom or I would be stuck hosting brunch or lunch - not happening. Booked the table and let the men split the bill. Happy mothers day to me :)
Hopefully if its nice we will take a ride out to Greenport with the kids afterwards. But looks like it supposed to rain as of now anyway...

Mother's Day Weekend Plans?
They usual, at my moms with my mother in law. Usually the weather is nice enough that we can have our first outdoor meal of the season, hang out in the back yard with some wine and planting a few things in the yard, but it looks like that is not happening this year because of the weather.

This is what happened to us too... We ended up cancelling on both of them and decided to go up to CT where both of my sisters live and spend it with them. We all had children within the year, and we want to celebrate our first mother's day together with our babies. Both sets of parents are upset, but we just don't care anymore!

I always say Mother's Day is never about you it's always about the generation ahead of you. My sister gets annoyed and chooses to do her own thing so everything falls on me. I will be having my parents over for a lunch that I cater and pay for.

Yeah the weather is going to suck. Cold and rainy. Typical long island weather.

Saturday I'm hosting dinner for my parents, SIL, and Grandmother.
Sunday we're going to my ILs house at some point. I told DH I want the morning to myself.

Saturday (the 13th) is my 35th Birthday which we have to attend a communion.  and Sunday going to my parents house.
Hoping to get a mani Pedi in the morning though. Lets see if that happens.

Sunday brunch with mil and dh's side in Queens.
Early dinner with my mom and brother in Suffolk county.
It's also dh's birthday AND our 13 year anniversary.

I'm taking DD to the circus with my mom and mil and then we are supposed to have a bbq at our house later in the day, but the weather's not looking so great.

Brunch with DH's mom then a BBQ with my side of the family. I'm hoping I can squeeze in a mani/pedi but it's doubtful. I guess I'll just have an extra Bloody Mary.

Mother's Day Weekend Plans?
Spending my 1st mothers day dragging around my 8 month old. Brunch with my parents at 12:30 and dinner with my in laws at 5. Plus DH is teaching a class at the gym in the morning so I will by myself with the baby trying to get ready.

My first mother's day was last year and I made a formal decree that my schlepping days were over 
I didn't see my mom or my MIL last year and I'm not seeing them this year. I'll do whatever they want on Saturday but I want Sunday to spend with my DD.

Mother's Day Weekend Plans?
my parents are 2 hours away, and my in laws are 4.5 hours away-- so holidays are always schlepping or having my in laws here for days. :-/
saturday, we're driving 2 hours each way to my parents house to hang out for the afternoon and then have dinner. They own a garden center, so we also get out veggies plants for the year, too 
Sunday- just me, DH, and our 2 boys are going to brunch... and then we'll see. hoping to do something outside, but looking doubtful... so it'll probably just be the usual of us trying to keep the boys in line while we're stuck inside on a rainy day HAHA
we won't see MIL on mothers day... but whatever. it was their choice to move 4.5 hours away from their only kid (my DH). and we just adopted out 3 year old son, so its not the time to have visitors for 3 nights... It is what it is, she can deal

Mother's Day Weekend Plans?
I'm going to the cemetery at some point to visit my mom's grave, then DH made reservations for brunch. I try not to let it get to me but Mother's Day usually puts me in a funk every since I lost my mom.

Mother's Day Weekend Plans?
The weather is going to suck this weekend!!!
I think Saturday will be going to a museum and dinner and Sunday is just relaxing at home doing absolutely no cleaning or cooking. Takeout all day.

Same 
I always like to go down to the beach that day so if the weather stinks, I don't know what we'll do. I think Mother's day and Father's day cause more people pain than it cause other people happiness and wish they didn't exist.
