Mother's Helper

If my job approves my 2 day "work from home" request I will have to hire a mother's helper to watch Hannah during those days so that I'm productive.

How do I go about finding one? and how much should I pay her an hour?

Thanks and cross your fingers my job will go for this!!!Chat Icon Chat Icon

Re: Mother's Helper

By a mothers helper do you mean a high school student? It may be hard to find a student during business hours.

I put an ad in the local newspaper for a babysitter and received a lot of calls. The two people I hired charged $10 per hour.

What college is near you? You can contact the early childhoold dept. there.

My friend did that, and is very happy with her.

She charges $10/hour.

Re: Mother's Helper

I have found that the kind of help you are looking for is the hardest help to find. College girls can be difficult, because their class schedules often coincide with the hours you need, also their schedules change every semester.

I have had friends who have had luck with Craig's List and Sitter City. I also have friends that have found part time situations in a local sitter's home and have also been happy.

Good Luck, I hope it work out.
