Re: Motorized cars
12 months they should be able to figure out how to sit in it and push the button to operate it. Lukie is 16 months now and knows that he has to sit, not fall over (it's a quad) and push the button to get him to go. Stopping on the other hand is a different story

Re: Motorized cars
We have this one and its great DS just started using it. Its great because it is a "push car" so you can walk them around in it but its completely motorized so on the parent handle is a button. Then when Chris is older the parent handle gets removed and there is a button on the steering wheel for him to make it go! We got it as a gift and love it already!

We also have the Tot Rod. Steven's been using it since about 9 months old. Now he pushes it and won't go in it

Re: Motorized cars
My parents bought Jared the FP quad when he was a year old. He loved it but it took some time for him to get used to it.
Then they bought him the Escalade for Christmas when he was 2. He loves to drive it now.

Re: Motorized cars
We got DS a motorized car last year. It is the Go Diego Go Jeep. It is just 1 passenger and rated for 18 months +. Most of the 2 seaters are rated for 3+ so you just have to know your kid. Jeremy will often press on the gas and not steer so DH and/or I have to always be sure to stay very close to him to avoid him from hitting a house! We got it over the winter so he really just started to use it. He loves it!!!
We go it at Walmart on Black Friday for $80. It is now on e-bay for $400 Wow, if I show DH this he will want to sell ours

Re: Motorized cars
DS got a backyardigans go cart (where there is a button on the steering wheel to give power). He didn't "get" the idea of the button until he was over 9 months old. He love the thing. But does not know how to steer.
His aunts bought him a power wheels go cart with a push pedal for his first birthday. I think we have a ways to go before he is big enough to reach the pedals. So for now it just takes up space.

Thanks for posting that one! I was doing a search yesterday on LIF and could not find it. I was looking for the info on that one and were to buy it.
