Munire v. Baby Cache?

Munire recently came out with a line of furniture at BRU under the name Baby Cache. DH and I were in BRU last weekend and liked the Baby Cache Heritage set. We also went to another furniture store and liked several of the Munire furniture sets, which were quite a bit more than the Baby Cache one.

Has anyone looked at Munire and/or Baby Cache? Do you have any opinions on the quality and whether there's a real difference between the two brands?

Munire gets fantastic reviews in Baby Bargains. Don't have it with me so I can't look up Baby Cache.

I read the Munire review in Baby Bargains, but Baby Cache is relatively new so I don't think they had much information on it before the latest edition was released. I'm wondering whether there's really a difference in quality.

I hardly think Munire would come out with a furniture line that would destroy their hard-earned positive reputation...

mmmm, don't be too sure! Mod girl here.... One of the companies with the most wonderful reputation in the modern baby world is Dwell. (the real deal is very very Chat Icon) They came out with several lines of linens, clothing, and furniture at walmart and target. 2 are less expensive furniture lines (babymod at walmart and Dwell for target)

The baby mod line is high quality... solid wood and consistently 5 star reviews. that's where our crib comes from. The Dwell for target line has HORRIBLE reviews! It's cheap particle board that degasses Chat Icon, is frequently damaged in shipping, and breaks easily. Ironically, both lines have similar prices.....

(I should add that the dwell for target linens are WONDERFUL quality and well worth the price... it's only their furniture that sux)

the irony is the babymod line doesn't include the 'dwell' name as to not mar the parent company's image or associate it with walmart Chat Icon.... but the line with 'dwell' in it's name..........

I'd wait for some customer reviews to come out, if you can wait a bit.

We bought a Munire set, but considered a Baby Cache at BRU also. We spoke at length with a knowledgeable associate who said that Bassett and Baby Cache are the best and most popular sets that BRU carries.

Re: Munire v. Baby Cache?

I purchased Munire from Behrs in 2005 and we have loved the set! No complaints, crib got recalled and we were shipped new pieces immediately! Love our choice!

We are super pleased with our Munire set. I am doing our DS's room with Munire as well because I was so happy with how it handled with my DD! I have no idea about the 2 sets though sorry...

Re: Munire v. Baby Cache?

My sister just received delivery on the Baby Cache Heritage set two weeks ago and she loves the set and told me that the quality seems to be really good....especially for the price.

The Munire sets are beautiful. In fact they were my top choice. I think the quality must be slightly better based on the price point, but I also think part of it is that they are able to offer more options and colors etc., where the Heritage set only comes in one color and is pretty much a stock item at BRU.
