my 1st post on this board & a question
this is my 1st time posting here - I'm about 19 weeks pregnant with my first, due in July - and I'm a very excited and nervous mommy to be
I have started looking into different things that I know we need to register for but it is so overwhelming. I have heard that the Baby Bargains book is good but before I order it I was wondering - does it just compare prices or does it discuss safety as well? I was thinking about subscribing to the Consumer Reports website online but I just thought I'd ask here first. I just want a resource to look up what's safe as far as cribs, swings, car seats, etc. TIA for your help - I have learned so much already lurking on this board!

Baby Bargains is a great book! It compares prices and talks about safety issues. They are also good about recommending the right products and not just the ones that are cheapest. I read that book before we even went to the store to register.

Baby bargains goes over everything. I really would have been lost without it. I wouldnteven bother with consumer reports- i had both and found that baby bargains matched what people reviewed said online.

Also- amazon has a lot of reviews as well as babies r us from people that i found helpful.
