My 2 month old has been sleeping for almost 7 hours....should I worry?

She ate last at 5pm...she was fussy when we put her in her crib to sleep and I went in a few times to calm her down, and she fell asleep at 7pm.

It's almost midnight, so she missed a feeding...should I be worried? I didn't want to wake her up to eat. I've been going with the "never wake a sleeping baby" rule.

I wish this sleep marathon started NOW...it would have lasted through the night...now I'll probably be up all night with her.Chat Icon

My DD started sleeping longer around 8 weeks. Let her sleep.

DD is 12 weeks now and sleeping through the night. She takes a long nap every day at 3pm, and wakes up around 6-6:30 (sometimes 5:30), but starting around 2.5 weeks ago, I stopped letting her go back to sleep after that bottle. If she wants to sleep, I put her in the swing because she'll only sleep for 20 minutes or so.

We do bath at 8:30 and a bottle right after, which is getting her through till around 7am the next morning. In fact, she's still sleeping!

See if this is a new pattern for her, and you can try to adjust her schedule a little to get her to start sleeping through the night.

Alexa is 10 weeks and took a 5.5 hour nap Chat Icon

I figured she needed the sleep and let her sleep. Sure enough she woke up when she was hungry!

DD is almost 7 wks old and she frequently will sleep a 6-7 hr stretch at night....she ate last night at 8:45pm and didn't wake up to eat until 3:30am.....it's a blessing, enjoy it!

I know it's a good thing that she's sleeping for longer stretches...I guess I was just panicked that she hadn't eaten in over 7 hours!
