My 4th loss (very long)
On Thurs I went to my OB where it was determined that the baby's heart had stopped. I was scheduled for a D&C on Monday. Fri I went for presurgical testing. That evening, I started cramping very heavily. I called the dr and they said to take some ibuprofen and call back if I started bleeding. I just thought that my body was getting ready to pass everything. The pain was getting worse and worse, so I called back. Once again, I wasn't bleeding, so they told me to wait it out.
I couldn't get comfortable and the pain was excruciating. I laid in bed with the heating pad bc it was still to early to take more medicine. I got up and went to the bathroom. When I was in there, I started feeling lightheaded and called my DH. I passed out and broke 5 of my top teeth.
DH called the ambulance and I went to the hospital. There it was determined that my uterus had ruptured and I had massive internal bleeding. They had to wait for all surgeons to come before they could operate. I needed two blood transfusions. My blood pressure was 80/40 and my body temp was 84 degrees! They thought I was going to die. I was awake,aware of everything that was going on, and in SO much pain.
When I was 20, I had my ovary and tube removed, and a little pocket of scar tissue had formed in that corner. This embryo had implanted in that pocket, and as it grew, there was nowhere for it to go, which caused the heart to stop beating, and the rupture of my uterus. The OB says there is a 1 in 30,000 chance of this every happening. He cut that section off and sewed it up so it wouldn't happen again. I'm still SO scared, but they say that in 6 months it will be healed, and I can start TTc again. (Not that I'm even thinking of it right now!!!!)
I am so happy to be alive that losing the baby is almost secondary at this point. It's been really hard because I was released from the hospital yesterday evening and had to see the oral surgeon. (The hospital would not let them come in and work on me). The nerves in my teeth have been exposed since Friday, so I have been very weak because I haven't really eaten. It's made it 100% worse. I have staples in my abdomen, and they did a d&c, so I have so many wounds to take care of.

Oh my goodness... I got goosebumps reading your story. I cannot even imagine how horribly scary that was. Thank goodness you are alive and will be okay!
Many prayers for a speedy recovery - physically and emotionally.

Wow. I don't even have words. I am SOOO sorry you are going through this and for all that you have gone through in the last week.  I truly hope that the hardest part (physically anyway) is behind you ... although I know the emotional impact just lingers on..

Ugh, Faith - reading the story in so much detail here made me cry. I can't take what you are going through and what you have gone through over the years. Enough is enough! Everything has to and will turn around from now on. You have had your share of heartbreak, and now hopefully it is done for good. I love you and hope that you feel better soon. I can't even begin to imagine how you feel even though we've all experienced loss on this board. Your story breaks my heart. I'm glad that you're physically okay and will pray for your additional recovery and strength.
