My babies... updated 1/21/17
Will be born 1/12... had some IUGR...
Update- c section was a breeze! I feel silly for freaking out! Spinal was a breeze, no nausea, shaking nothing. My team was amazing
Baby A- Andrew Christopher 3lbs 15 oz on IV and incubator
Baby B- Anthony Michael 5lbs 2oz doing awesome eating like a champ
I haven't been able to get up yet to get down to the NICU which is killing me that I haven't held them  working on it but in pain.
Baby A stopped growing 2 weeks ago and at my appointment last night we made it through the ultrasound and told to go to the hospital. Within 4 hours they arrived.
They are officially over 48 hours old! Andrew required a feeding tube and is having a slight issue with the bottle but will latch on like a champ for breast feeding. Struggling a bit with breastfeeding but I'm trying to pump so hopefully it's easier. It's hard having 2 babies in the NICU. Even better today is 1 year exactly we were sitting in our fertility specialist office crying after we found out IVF would be our only option with a low success rate. DH quit smoking that night and here we are- twin boys!
Yesterday was a hard day but I forced myself to walk most of the day and it made this morning easier.
I am being discharged Monday I know for a fact Andrew won't be coming home with us, not sure if Anthony will but I'll update soon!
1/15/17
My babies and I are doing awesome! I am up and moving around yesterday and today without much issues. Today is much better for me and I feel pretty good! Boys are doing amazing as well- Andrews feeding tube was removed. They only needed to tube feed twice. I am a little upset they rushed it but feel it was probably for the best to get food into him. He's eating and nursing like a champ. I definitely have a little soft spot for my little fighter
Anthony is coming home tomorrow with me when I'm
discharged. We can't wait to get him home! Andrew should be coming home within a week as well
Right now I've been an emotional basket case that one baby will be staying. I am thankful the only issue was Andrew is a bit small and had an issue feeding the first 24hrs. No breathing treatments, no jaundice nothing...perfect babies!!! Couldn't be happier with my recovery as well!
1/16/17 baby Anthony is coming home today! Such a bittersweet day leaving Andrew behind my husband finally broke down and cried. We know it's for his best. But we are trying to make it special for Anthony to come home and celebrate his day and then when Andrew comes home he gets his special day. This is one of the hardest things ever. We spoke with the NICU doctor he thinks Andrew may be home by the end of the week which is great but it's still 4 days without that sweet face
1/18/17- Anthony had his first doctors appointment and is doing well! Andrew is still in NICU and I am a hormonal and emotional basket case. I feel so guilty only going to see Andrew twice daily. I should be with him. He needs me and I need him. And I have another baby at home to care for who needs me to. On the bright side Andrew is over 4lbs now- 4lb 1oz. I just want my family together totally 1 step away from totally losing my s***
1/19/17- I went into NICU this morning to see my little Andrew.... and HE WAS MOVED TO A REGULAR CRIB!!!!! I nearly broke into tears. My sweet boy maintained his temperature from 7am till 12:30 when I had left. He's being circumcised tomorrow, doing his hearing test tonight and car seat test tomorrow. If he continues to do well he will come home Saturday! I'm so over joyed but know he can take a step back and as much as I want him home I don't want to push him and stress him. Thank you to everyone for your support over this past week!
1/21/17- ANDREW IS HOME!!!!! :) we are settling with the twins. NICU is setting up the evaluation for EI for Andrew definitely, Anthony I'm not sure since he was over 5lbs at birth. I'm just so happy to have my babies under one roof

Wow congrats!! Great update!! Take it easy, i'm sure your in pain from the C-section. Hopefully you will be able to hold your babies soon! I'm soo happy for you hun!!! Two healthy boys!! Yay!!

Aww, congrats! It stinks nor getting to hold our really even see your babies right away but it sounds like they're doing great. I hope you've gotten over to see them by now. Take care of yourself and enjoy those little peanuts! They will grow faster than you realize! Dd2 was 4.0 pounds and two years later I still love that she's tiny (easier to enjoy now since she's totally healthy). Hope you get to take them both home quickly!

Congratulations! So happy it went well. My DC last pg also went to the NICU so I had to wait as well but it's ok, best they be where they need to be. Please keep us updated!
