Re: My BF ask me to co sign a loan ???

I am sure you would love to help your friend
BUT the only way you can realy help her is to suport her when she telles her DH
SHE has to tell him
she is lying to him and doing things behind his back...
SHe has to be honest with him and maybe they can work this propblem out themselves

Re: My BF ask me to co sign a loan ???

I don't agree with the comment to never ever lend money...thats what friends are for. When i was in a bind a few years ago and about to have my cell phone shut off, my best friend paid the bill for me and i paid her back in small increments until it was paid off. I was embarrased to have to ask her and didn't know where to turn to..i was on my own for the first time making very little money and struggling. In a case like that I would always lend to a friend.

HOWEVER....cosigning is very differnt. Like other posters have stated, it could wreck your credit report if it goes unpaid.

The only thing that could work would be taking out a loan in your name, giving her the $$ and having her pay you back...BUT..i think she needs to work out her issues with her DH as opposed to you temporarily solving them. It doesn't sound very good for them. I'm sure she's a wonderful person who feels desperate. I hope her situation turns around and you are a wonderful friend for thinking about how to help her!!

You're helping her lie to her DH and will owe the money should she default and chances are she will. You just have to talk to her as lovingly as possible but be firm with your no. She's asking you to risk far more than any car is worth. Does she need a new car that badly? If she does then I would help her with talking to her DH.
