How did it drive? They look pretty cool.

My son calls them "dating cars" because there is only enough room for you to bring a girl in them.Chat Icon

Ha! It is small, but pretty roomy for 2 people.
It drives better when you use the automatic shifter, if you don't it's kinda jerky, the shifting is more pronounced if left up to the car.
And you don't even have to know how to drive a stick, even though I do, because the little arrow tells you when to shift, which is a lot more frequent than with a regular car.
It's 3 cylinders and only 70 horsepower!!!!
The only weird thing is that you shift UP instead of DOWN when accelerating, which had me Chat Icon for a few....

Great for tooling around town though....

I heard that the manual shifting is pretty worthless and now you have confirmed it.

Actually, I re-read my post and I have it backward....
When you shift manually it's smoother than letting the car doit itself......

Is that the same as what you just said Sean? Chat Icon

With the manual shift you have to hit the gas. Then let off the gas and sllow it to shift. You then mash the gas again. Car and Driver didn't like it.

hmmmm, to me it was no different than driving a stick but without the clutch, you let off the gas a tiny bit to shift, but you don't lose acceleration.
It's actually worse if you don't do it that way and let the car shift, it's a bit jerky......
