my coffee table
i hate my coffee table.
its wooden, but black... its cool cuz it has draws on either side, but the top has a big glass over it.......
so i figured i would try to jazz it up.
this is what i came up with.

oh, i got those big photos (some are nudey) from a photography book.
i figured it would be ok to post since it is art, and not pornographic. the only one you can sorta see is th one on the far left. you cant see, but she has bruises on her face, missing teeth... broken nose, the photo was taken after a bike accident. i like it cuz she is smiling and it looks like her spirits are high despite the fact she is busted.

yeah i wish i had a pic of bettie page instead of a tat pic, but i liked it.
i still want to add much much more, but i havent found any good pics yet. im not too keen on some of them in there anyway, so im sure ill remove some, add others.

It is definitely different. It shows your individuality. And that's cool.
I have a couple of suggestions that you can take or leave. I think you might want to consider adding more pics - or less pics. The spacing is a bit off - you can see bits of table in some spots and not others. I think it might look better if there was no table showing at all - or if there was even spacing between the pictures so that more table showed. Also - it may look more polished if you were to make cleaner edges on some of the pictures. But - ultimately - whatever makes you happy in your space!

I have to agree. I understand art is subjective and everyone likes different things...but that girl looked really young, which makes the "art" questionable in my eyes. I understand that you like the picture because of the story behind it, but to someone just looking at it, the story isn't obvious, and it looks a bit like child porn. JMO.

I think once you get all the pics you want, you should put a clear coat of Shlack (sp) on it, it will give it that worn old look. I think it would look cool. I think they even make a crackle schlack too.

I agree with getting more pics.
love the bettie paige an love the pic of the girl in the orange drawers
as for the girl with the wrecked face...
it does't look like child porn OR pedophilia...BUT, not sure that I'd want to look at it while eating ice cream and cookies at night...
and..
the other pics are very artistic...this really isn't...at least, it doest vibe very well with the other photos...perhaps you could put that somewhere else....or resituate it...it just looks out of place where it is.
