i made a collage table like that in college (all black and white abercrombie models)... we put clear contact paper over it, and taped where it wrapped under the table... it was a little bit of a pain to apply (we had to tape all the pics in place first) but it came out awesome, and was really easy to clean (jsut make sure not to leave any spaces in between the columns, and not have air bubbles.. just b/c they make it looks sloppy 
but yeah, the contact paper worked out well if you're looking for an alternative. If i can find pics of it, ill post them later

The idea is cool, but I have some suggestions - I hope you don't mind  . First I would pick a theme and stick with it for all the pics - either cresteds, or the old school glamour celeb style pics, or tats you love, whatever - just pick one and it will pull the whole thing together, I think. Makes it seem like more thought went into it than just sticking pics you like on the table...and it will make people think more why certain pics went into it...
Next, I would change the layout a bit... not have all the pictures going in the same direction so that when you look at the coffee table from different sides, different pics will be right side up for the viewer.
Also, you might want to add one of your favorite quotes somewhere...I know you get quotes as tattoos so it would be very "you", I think, to add a quote in there somewhere.
And last but not least, the cyclist pic does not look like kiddie porn to me, I think that was a bit dramatic, IMO. Not my taste in art, maybe, but certainly not porn. Nor do the words "bike accident" make me assume it was a child. *shrug*

Same. I don't like the pic, but the second I saw it I thought it was a 25 year old who lived in NYC and was a bike messenger. Funny how glancing at a pic you make up a whole story about it. I guess that's what art is...
Maybe because when I was 25 I got hit by a car riding my bike in NYC and I don't have Double D's

see the one all the way on hte bottom right corner? (not the girl with bottle) i have a book of all that sort of flash and i was going to do it all in that, but i liked some of the pictures.
there are some i def awnt to remove ... liek the one of Kat von d, the crestie, etc.
maybe ill do it all tattoo style stuff.
i originally thought maybe all photos of my family and friends.. better than putting holes in the walls.
maybe when i move i will do that!
and i didnt think to do different angle,s thats a good idea too! thanks lady!

It kind of put me in a mood of a girl (who was not a child, doesn't look anything like a child to me...) had this accident, then got all chilled out with her boyfriend, who obviously, is a photographer, he said...hey Suzy (cos thats her name obviously) I am going to take a picture of you all chilled out and sitting on the bed with your baps out (because, hey, sometimes I sit on my bed talking to my husband with my big baps out) and this picture will be awesome because it has that kind of loved up glow, and perhaps, just perhaps, its all post coital. She has just had a fantastic ******, put her little pants back on and Tom (the boyfriend) got his camera out and took a picture after Suzy's bad day.

love this idea. I think it would look amazing if you used smaller pictures and more of them. I plan to do a Decoupage chair or table for the basement. I want to do all white/black/orange to help it become an interesting accent piece that adds some zip.
PS: Love the chinese crested pic! Cuteness!

You could always protect it with glass, maybe get little rubber stoppers on corners so it dosent move and you can remove it to clean.

Why dont you get a piece of poster board, cut it to the size of the table, and glue/tape all the magazine cut outs and photos to that... that way when you clean you can just lift the entire sheet out and you dont have to worry about rearranging it everytime... unless you like changing it up often...
