My DD woke up this morning with red dots ALL over her body!?!?!?!?
They are mainly on her legs arms, hands, back of neck, some on face and it appears her lips are swollen!?!?
I just put a call into our ped....but havent heard back yet bec it is before business hours!
Anyone have an idea of what it is?!?!? SHe woke up with it so I cant imagine if it is an allergic reaction!?!? I gave a dose of benedryl just in case while I wait for my DR...
what a lovely way to start our Mon morning!!!

this sounds like an allergic reaction to me. have you changed laundry detergents recently? given her any new blankets or stuffed animals to sleep with? what about food? did she try anything new yesterday?

Where they like tiny red dots - or hives?
DD#1 woke up head to foot in hives about 3 weeks ago and a very swollen face. We are still dealing with the hives and the swelling on and off now since that day.

Thanks ladies...it was a crazy day...havent been on the computer all day since I posted
It turns out (which I didnt add in my OP) that she def had a reaction to the amoxicillin
I didnt even think that was the issue bec she was on day 9 of the medicine...but my ped knew the second he saw her and that a typical reaction starts 7-10 days after the first dose!! weird...I am SOOOO glad it is not a contagious disease...
Since the benedryl didnt work (still hasnt) he gave me a steroid that she has to take for the next five days and he said it could get worse before it gets better! GREAAAT!!
This is the closest I found on the internet that looks like what she has But hers is a little worse it is on her ENTIRE body but esp worse on her hands, thighs, and feet! =(((( my poor baby!!

awww...that stink, but thank heaven it wasn't something worse. DS had that to amoxicillin too.

My DD had the exact same reaction to Zithromax. Now there's big red letters on her file that says that she is allergic.
I'm so sorry that happened to you, it's very scary! Hope your baby feels better soon!!!
