My deflated booby is KILLING me!!!! Nursing moms who stopped BFing
I officially stopped nursing 2 weeks ago. I barelly had any milk. My boobies are like deflated sacs at this point. Although yesterday I noticed I still had some milk.
I had NO issues until today.
I have a sharp pain in the side bottom of my right breast.
Like it was clogged.
Did that happen to anyone????? What am I supposed to do? I am not nursing anymore.

no. It goes from the edge of the boob all the way towards the nipple.

I'd try to just give it some time then. If it was hard, I'd say you might have an infection, but I think it's probably just normal "getting back to normal" pains. I stopped after 4 months of BFing, and I hardly had any milk left at that point too. I didn't have any problems at all, but I do remember some strange pains for a while.

Thanks! I think I will massage it and see. I feel like a total perv. massaging myself now that I don't BF anymore.

Do you think you might have a plugged duct? I looked up on Kellymom about weaning because the pain you describe kind-of sounds like that and just glancing at it, it seems that that could develop.

Yes, I think that's the problem but I was only BFing for a few minutes in the morning and night at the end. Nowhere near the 25-30oz I used to produce per day.
And I stopped 2 weeks ago.

This happened to me, a friend advised warm compresses and that seemed to help the pain subside. I had a clogged duct once too, again the wrm compresses helped that as well.

I have no idea why it happens if you slowly wean  Did you have a very good supply when you BFed?
I have a very good supply and someone told me I might want to take lecithin so I don't get any plugged ducts when I start weaning from the pump. I'm not sure where to get it though.

I updated my post. I used to produce 25-30 oz at one time then weaned when we introduced formula. Then I only BF for a few minutes at morning and night for about 2-3 weeks. I stopped completely 2 weeks ago. No leakage. Now this!!!! I thought I had weaned good. I noticed I still had "some" milk 2 days ago while showering (still not facing the shower though!)

I just remembered, after I stopped pumping I got a plugged duct from exercising (even though I had hardly any milk left at the end)... what helped me was putting one of those electric pillows on my boob...
