My divorce papers came today...
I just don't know how I am going to sign these papers. I am so devastated and just don't know if I will ever be happy again.
After the way my ex treated me and handled everything by just walking out one day, all my friends and family are like "good riddens". But I love this man, we never fought, I will just never understand.

Of course it will hurt for a while, that's to be expected. But the pain will lessen as time goes on and I am sure you will be happy and in love again someday. Just take it one day at a time and try to think about people and things in your life that make you happy instead of thinking about him. His loss

I am so so sorry that you are going through this. Do you have anyone to talk to? A counselor? It's really good to have an objective person to talk to and help you through rough times.

He left me in March, we were married for 10 months but together 6 years. I have been going for therapy since then but the pain is still so great, and I am just so unhappy with my life now. All my friends are married and having babies...I am reallly alone!

I for one, know FIRST HAND how you feel. I was YOU last year. Believe me I thought I wasn't ever going to get over it. Ask anyone on here that has followed my story and was there when I was planning my wedding!!!
I was only married 7 months and together with him for 3 years but the pain is still the same.
In the beginning, I didnt want to get out of bed, cried all the time... It hurts... But life does go on, and you WILL heal and move on...
It will take time... It did for me. I had a lot of ups and downs. Eventually I got sick of crying, looking like crap and wasting my days away. I wasnt living, I was just going through the motions and that is NO WAY TO LIVE...
It sounds cliche but you have to take care of yourself. Surround yourself with friends and family, do things for YOURSELF!!!!!
If you ever need to talk, please fm me... believe me you are not alone. I have gotten many fm's from women who ar einthe same situation but didnt want to post their story. I guess posting my personal life was a way for me to vent, heal and move on...

Also speaking from experience, I have to agree with Kristi. It will take time, but you will get there. The holidays will be the hardest the first year. You have to move on with your life, and know that you will be happy again. Things do happen for a reason, although you might not know what that reason is right now. Focus on yourself and force yourself to get out and get involved in things. You will get through this - hang in there!!!

I can't imagine how painful this is for you. I watched my best friend go through a divorce after her husband of 10 years decided that he just didn't want to be married to her anymore. They didn't fight either. He just announced it after she asked him if he called to book their vacation. She sobbed on my couch for many months over this. She no longer wonders why things happened with her & her ex. It took awhile for her to see through her tears, anger, confusion, but really she is happier now. With divorce mediation was very tough - I think that's what made her sign them so quickly. She just wanted an end to this & to move on with her life...and being in limbo was no way for her to live.
This too shall pass..hang in there.
