I can relate to how you are feeling. I too went through a divorce and although it is very difficult for you right now; I truly believe that things happen for a reason. You will probably thank your ex-husband down the road and realize that you were probably short changing YOURSELF! You will get married again, you will have children again and I can guarantee you, it will probably happen quicker than you even imagine.
I met my husband six months after I separated and we married a few years later and have one child and another on the way and I couldn't be happier.
I got an annulment so I was able to get married in the church again and my life really is much better than it was. It's strange, once you remove yourself from the hurt and pain, you'll probably see things in your ex-husband that you NEVER saw and say ya know what I'm so much better off.
The holidays will be tough and you'll get through it. Like others said, take time out for you and have some fun. You're going to get through this and YOU WILL BE a stronger person because of it!!!!!!!!!!!!! Just remember, your ex is the one losing out!

I can totally relate to your feelings...I went through a divorce too. I'm so sorry that you are going through this...I know how hard this can be. Do you have a good support system of friends and family? That was how I made it through my divorce...without them (and therapy), I don't know what would have happened. Please know that you are not alone and YOU will get through this. As hard as these first days/weeks will be, in time you will be a stronger person as a result of all that you are going through. A man that is worthy of your kind heart and your love WILL comes along down the road -- and when you see that he loves you fully and completely in return, you will then understand more fully why your ex was not the one for you. You deserve better than what your ex is putting you through, never doubt that!

This is so true. When I look back on my relationship with my ex and compare it to what I have now with DH. I say, What was I thinking? Although, you can't see it now, things will get better.

I truly appreciate this, and definitely do struggle with believing someone will love all of me one day, and I will feel in love again like I once did with my ex.

trust me you will... i met my current boyfriend about 6 months after my husband and I separated. And what a catch! I look at him and how he treats me and how well we get along... I cant even imagine ever going back to someone who treated me the way my ex did. But before you even thing about that, you have to heal from this situation and take care of yourself. thank god I didnt meet this guy right after I broke it off with my husband.. I was a basket case. But I took care of myself. I stayed over friends houses, went on shopping trips, got my makeup done for fun, went on several trips... I did things for ME... thats what you have to do right now... Hang in there!!!!

He left me in March, we were married for 10 months but together 6 years. I have been going for therapy since then but the pain is still so great, and I am just so unhappy with my life now. All my friends are married and having babies...I am reallly alone!
