My favorite MIL comment thus far...
DH and I went to my IL's house for a few minutes and we were in the kitchen talking. My MIL turns to me and says, "Wow, you got BIG!" Mind you, I've been carrying very small throughout the my pregnancy (pics in album) and I only gained 14 pounds in 32 weeks!
She really knows how to make a pregnant girl feel special....

Oh goodness  Ya know, I've learned to take that as a compliment. I usaually respond back to that with, "yep, my boy is growing big and strong in there  ". Ps ~ You look tiny so to her!!

Nice! My MIL kept asking my DH if the doctors told us why I was so big! Keep in mind, I gained 3 pounds during my first trimester, and my weight was perfect to begin with...
I dont know why people say things like that, but it never really bothered me too much b/c I love everything about my new belly!!!!

See, I don't think that's a reason to get upset. It's not like you went on a cruise and gained 15 lbs. and she said that. You're growing a BABY!!! Take it as a compliment!

My MIL says the same thing but also adds in how wide I've gotten, how my face has changed, and how my *** is spreading. I'm learning to turn a deaf ear! Everyone else tells me I'm all belly.

I agree. I would get upset if I weren't pregnant and she said that. I am sure she didn't mean any harm but just stating the fact that you are progressing in your pregnancy.

Here...maybe these comments will make you feel better...
From a male coworker who I hadn't seen in a while after I stood up from a chair:
"Wow, you got huge - Are you sure there's just one in there?"
My response:
"Yep, that's what happens when you grow a baby - what's your excuse?"
From my boss:
"I'm sorry, I don't mean to insult you (right there you know it's going to be bad), but you look just like Shrek to me"
My response: (after I closed my mouth)
"I'm sorry, what did you say"
Boss repeats the comment...
My response: *small giggle* yeah, that's what I thought you said...well, at least I'm not green - that would be a real problem...
Is this helping you feel better at all???

Krista, you look beautiful and you are not "big" you are growing your baby boy in there! 
Here's a dumb comment for you...we told one of DH's friends today that I was pregnant...His comment to me before anything else was, You know that's going to hurt right? I couldn't help but laugh at him!
Your MIL should have chosen a nicer word, but take it as a compliment!
You look GREAT!
