My first scary mommy moment w/ ?

DD threw up tonight in her sleep. I found her a little while later, with it all over her head, and chest. It was carrots, in her dark room, it looked like blood for a few seconds. Chat Icon
I feel so bad, I had my monitor on and with me at all times, and I didn't hear her, she didn't cry, or wake.

I am also feeling very blessed that she didn't choke, it was thick!Chat Icon

Question is, this is the 2nd time this week that she has thrown up, could it be because she has a runny nose, or is it possible that I am over feeding her?

Tonight she had
1/2 a jar of pears w/ cereal
1/2 a jar of carrots
and some breast milk

She is 7 months 21 lbs, not any new foods. Thoughts?

DH thinks I am over feeding her, I think it's the runny nose.

ETA; the Angle Care monitor started beeping because the hand helds battery was dying, I thought it was the warning beep. Chat IconChat Icon

second - i don't know if it would be from over-feeding. i think babies tend to refuse food if they are not hungry (at least i know em does).

is she teething? if so - that causes a LOT more mucous and can also cause the runny nose. they can choke on that and possibly vomit maybe??

It's so tough. Sometimes they will just throw up for any number of reasons. It could be because she has lost of post nasal drip. Is she teething? That really turns on the snot.

DOn't feel bad about not knowing. We have all been there!!!!!!!!!! Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

She has been having the signs of teething for a long time, but still no teeth. Chat Icon It is certainly possible that she has a tooth coming in. She has been super clingy, I just thought it was because she was not feeling well.
Joey will loose interest in eating, and that's when I stop feeding her. I don't think she is really being overfed, but I worry thinking maybe she is eating so fast she doesn't realize she is full until she is overfull. It makes me wanna stop solids till all the mucus is gone.
Thanks for the Chat Icon and replies!
