My grandfather passed away. I have NO ONE to take care of my 10 mos old.
I think I am just going to bring him to the services (wake, funeral, etc.).
anyone have experience doing so?

Yes, I brought DS to the funeral for DH's grandmother and his Aunt. His grandmother DS was younger and slept the whole time. I did not bring him to the grave and just stayed for a little bit at the house.
For his Aunt he was about 11 mons and loud so I just walked out with him and took him for a walk in the stroller till he fell asleep for a bit. Do what you gotta do, but if you can't stay long everyone will understand
so sorry for your loss

I brought luce to my friend's funeral/wake. it is totally fine.

I have brought DD to DH's cousin's funeral, she was an infant and it worked out fine. When she was fussy I took her out and strolled her around. I am very sorry for your loss...

I'm sooo sorry for your loss
DH's uncle passed away and we took DS with us. There were also a few older babies. I don't think there is a problem if you take your DC.

This has happened to us and a few family members.
Some funeral homes have a room downstairs for kids with toys and a TV etc. You or your DH or another family member could watch ds while you're paying your respects.
We've also rotated while someone's in the car and ds watched a movie.

i just took my 6mo old DD to a wake on friday because i didn't have anyone to watch her. the family actually thanked me for bringing her because it put a smile on their faces.

I'm so sorry Nanc - it's fine if you bring him.
I brought DS to a wake. I just kept him out of the actual room when I went in (he stayed w/ my mom). That's just me. I've seen plenty of babies in the actual room though.

I just brought dd to a wake last week. We stayed for about 15 minutes and left. Just be prepared. bottles, toys, etc, ANYTHING.
Everyone understands you have a baby.

sorry for your loss. my grandfather passed away in july. I brought my 3month old and 2 year old to the wake and funeral and all the luncheons. it was fine and add some happiness to a sad event.
we brought coloring books and crayons and set up my older DD in the room. everyone took turns helping me with the kids. brought the stroller in for naps. it was fine.

Friends brought their kids to my Grandma's wake and it was a welcome addition. My Grandma LOVED babies!!!

I am sorry for you loss.
Last year, we lost my MIL, great Uncle and my grandmother in the span of 3 months. My son who was between 8-10 months at the time and my DD who was 2 1/2 went to all wakes and services. We had no choice. It will be fine.
