Jaidy was 9 months when my MIL passed away. I brought her with me to all the services. I was EBF at the time.

my mother passed away when DD was 10 mths old....I brought her to everything and she was just fine.

i brought dd#2 to a funeral and wake of a very close friend when she was 10 days old...talk about hormones and emotions...ugh!...dh was a pallbearer and it was a rough time emotionally but dd was an angel...imho it helps to have them there too, kinda gives people a second to smile and remember the nice things in the world if you know what I mean....sorry to hear about your grandfather, sending you lots of  s!!

We had to take the boys to more than one unfortunately, and it was a welcomed distraction for the most part. When the pastor was speaking and praying, DH & I took turns with the boys outside as to not disturb that portion of the wake.
