My insurance doesnt cover any breast pumps
So after Edgepark called and said they didnt participate with my insurance (Horizon BCBS) she said to call the insurance company direct to see if they have a contract with another medical supply company. But of course they dont! My company doesnt feel its necessary to cover breastpumps fully or even partially. Dont you just love these million dollar companies with a majority of woman workers that dont feel the need to help with anything maternity wise!! Just add another expense to the already high pile!!! Sorry to vent Im just so pssed off right now!!!!

Oh man, what a bummer!!! I'm still waiting to hear back from Edgepark. My order is still pending on their website, so I'm thinking that's not such a great sign. I called them on Thursday, so I thought I'd hear by now.

I called my insurance and they said they don't cover breast pumps. I thought oxford would!! but I did try having edgepark call so that is still pending. They said most likely they won't cover it before the baby is born...that they might after based on medical need...so we'll see what happens

Edgepark JUST called me and no pumps are covered by United Healthcare either!!! Booooooo!!!

Most of the time it depends on your specific plan not just the carrier. So maybe there is still hope if you haven't checked yet, fingers crossed for you.

Yeah thats why I checked. Its my Companies specific plan that doesnt cover it! Boo to them! but hopfully the other girls will be able to get it through their plans!
