My IVF journey Update 12/28

I know i am starting this a little late in the game LOL so i'm putting information in from my calendar.

History:

PCOS - I knew something was wrong from my very first cycle but I was not diagnosed properly until 2000. I went on Metformin for 2 years (which helped) but then went off when i went back on BCP in 2002. Went off BCP around 12/2007 and got AF a few times but last 'natural' cycle was in 5/2008. From 11/08-6/08 forced cycles with provera before seeing RE. I am back on Metformin since but it doesn't seem to be helping.

2 failed IUI/Clomid cycles with 1 and 2 follicles

Started acupuncture before my second cycle 10/09

11/8/09 - 11/21/09
Start/Finish BCP

11/15/09
Start Lupron I was so worried about it but quickly got the hang of it

Sono & bloodwork. Started 150 Gonal F and 1 Menopur

OK I didn't come yesterday because i was resting for the most part. I wasn't in too much pain after the ER but i was in for a whammy when i got up this morning. I am soooo bloated right now and feel like i weigh and look 500 lbs. UGH. I was at the dr this morning for my progesterone shot and they said its 'normal' and to take it easy for the rest of the weekend.

So i believe they removed 15-16 follies/eggs yesterday. I'm not positive since yesterday they said 15 and today they said 16. I could have been confused with the anesthesia. 13 of them were mature and 10 fertilized!!!! I am beyond ecstatic.

I'm not sure what's going to happen at this point because of my increased risk of overstimulation and the fact that i'm in some pain right now. They highly advised me against implanting 2 because my body might have a problem especially if i get PG. They also said i have the option of freezing all and taking a month for my body but i'm not sure i want to do that. I've gone this far after all, why should I stop?

Either way since my dr won't be back until Mon i need to wait to talk to him and it might be best to see how i feel and wait until Wed to transfer.

Spoke with the embryologist this morning and thankfully the transfer is being pushed to Wed.

I have:
4 eggs - 8 cell grade 1
2 - 8 cell
1 - 7 cell
3 - 4 cell

She said there's only a 40% chance of the smaller cells catching up.

I'm glad since this will give me some extra time to rest. But i'm nervous as well since i''m hoping for some eggs to freeze. I decided to take today off to rest since i had 1 'extra' day left. I was hoping to use it at the end of the year but figured this is as good a time as any. I'm headed to the RE for my shot in a little and then accupuncture. Hopefully that will help.

Acupuncture worked like a charm yesterday and now i'm a believer. As soon as I left, the pain was much less and i almost feel normal at this point. I went back to work today and kept myself busy. I am soooooo nervous about tomorrow. I really wish i had taken her advice and seen her on Sat.

ET is tomorrow and I should be asleep by now LOL.

ET done! I feel fine. It was a little uncomfortable but certainly not unbearable.

They put back 2 eggs. One was excellent quality AA the other A. I can't believe they take pictures though!!! I might scan it in over the weekend and send to my parents LMAO.

They are freezing 4 eggs and waiting/watching the other 4. If I call i'll know by Friday if any more make it to freeze. Lets hope the next week and a half goes by quickly!!!!

12/19

First blood test. They are putting me back on the progesterone shots. Sooooo not happy about this. My butt is just starting to recover from the last set and now DH is going to need to learn to do it. There's way i'm going to spend more money to have to go back to the office every day for the next week. Plus they are closed several days for the holiday :(

Second blood test. No call looks like everything is going ok.

Estrogen 921 - not sure if this is ok?

Dr upped my dosage on the progesterone oil to 1 from 1/2 and i'm staying on the suppositories. No surprise there. I HATE these shots LOL.

Beta was up to 297 today
She didn't give me my progesterone info but said the increase is working.
