Re: My Kohls Christmas Angel...
That is awesome.
I had an awesome Kohls cashier last week. I asked if I used my card would I get a discount. She said only if I had a coupon. I said I'm sure I do at home. She took 15% off my whole order. Saved me over $30!

Re: My Kohls Christmas Angel...
I have actually become "friends" with one cashier at Kohls and she always hooks me up with coupons, and if I already have them, I hand them to someone else. It is so nice knowing some people aren't out to rip you off

Wait was she giving you sale prices and they really were not on sale?
If so that is good for you but that really is not a good employee And that is very bad for Kohls.
No they were all coming up with the wrong price it sounds like and she was fixing it.
The more I think about it, the more she didn't really go above and beyond. I hope she told management that the stuff was coming up wrong so they could fix it.
but she DID go above and beyond. it is not the cashier's job to know each and every sale price. their job is to ring you up. dince this particular woman knew the prices were wrong, she was helping and going above and beyond especially if she could get in trouble for it.

Re: My Kohls Christmas Angel...
it sounds like she was afraid of geting in trouble for giving you the right prices for those items - but she did it anyway! what a nice lady.
i just saw a news story this morning about stores that advertise one price on the shelves, but the items rings up at another, more expensive price at the register. maybe that was the case?
i wonder if kohl's was telling their employees that they didn't change the tickets on the shelves (so they still showed the sale price) but they did change them in the computer so they were hoping that the customers wouldn't notice that the wrong price was ringing up.
whatever the case, glad she was looking out for you!

Yea she did go above and beyond in my opinion. I think she KNEW the scam they were pulling..it was she was trying to tell me in not so many words that she knew the sale prices werent going to come up and just to be on the lookout. I can understand if she didnt want to tell management even if they didnt tell their employees it was a scam...EVERYONE needs to keep their job especially now. I wouldnt chance it either. But the fact that she took the time to share this with me, give me a warning and then give me the coupon, in my opinion, she definately went above and beyond what I have seen from other cashiers.

I went shopping at Kohls tonight. They were having a GREAT sale and everything I bought was on sale for a great price.
So this older woman begins to ring me up but whispers to me, while looking me dead in the eye, please look at the right hand side of your screen. That will be the sale price and the middle one will be the regular. Please focus in the sale price. So I am thinking ***? So I said ok and watched my items. So I noticed like 3 things were ringing up the wrong sale price. After every item she would whispter, is this one correct? When I told her no, she put the item on the side and went on with the next one. Finally she went back to them. She told me to tell her the price of the sale items and she fixed it for me.
She then whispered, you know, sometimes they dont enter the right sale price into the computer at the register on purpose..and winked at me. I said ohhhh and smiled back. She then started talking to me about the holidays, the economy and how heart breaking it is for her to see people being ripped off. She said the least she could do was "help them out" in some way. Then she asked if I had any coupons. I didnt, she whipped out a coupon from her pocket and I got 22 dollars off of my total.
When she wished me a happy holiday, her eyes just sparkled. She truly meant it. She was a beautiful person and if it doesnt sound like much, it really was. It was an amazing experience..then I left and it was snowing..was a magical christmas evening.
THAT, my friend, is Christmas.

Re: My Kohls Christmas Angel...
I have found Kohls employees to be so sweet! Last year, I was behind a elderly woman using her senior discount. I was teasing the clerk who was a young guy if I was eligible, and he said certainly and gave me 20% off! He went on to say he felt that was ageism only giving certain people discounts and would give it to anyone who asked!

Re: My Kohls Christmas Angel...
I find Kohls in general to have such BS prices to begin with. I was there recently and saw a play cash register that I bought my DD there. I bought it for 19.99 at BJs but it is generally $25-30 in other stores. The sticker on it at Kohls said - $59.99!!! So then the stuff is on sale for 40 or 50% off so it's the same price as Toys R Us' regular price. It's not the first time I noticed their BS prices but this was ridiculous. I'm glad you were able to get your items at the prices you expected. How annoying it would have been to check your receipts and have to go back in the holiday season. Or some people don't even check.
