My left arm is in serious pain... why??
This is not the first time this happened, my left arm is hurting me so bad and it usually starts up at night.
I feel pain from my shoulder to the tips of my fingers. It lasted all night and carried on until now. What is this? Does anyone else have this?
It hurts sooo bad... its a wierd pain I cant really explain it. Like a dull pain but continuous.

Re: My left arm is in serious pain... why??
Sounds like you are irritating the nerve in your arm. It happens to me EVERY night. If you are a side sleeper and you put your arm under your pillow, basically the nerve gets irritated and you will have pain down into your fingertips. I have it bad when I am pregnant. Try sleeping with your arm in front of you, instead of under your head

Oh wow, you are right on the money... I sleep with that arm tucked in under my pillow. The thing is ive ALWAYS slept like that without an issue. I guess pregnancy affects everything LOL.
Thanks for the tip... I hope that solves the problem... it really hurts!!

Does it feel like it fell asleep? If so, it's most likely Carpal Tunnel. I have had it with both pregnancies. If it keeps bothering you, buy a brace at CVS and sleep with it on. It helps!

I have a lot of issues with my neck and it causes shoulder pain, pain down my arm and pain/numbness in my hand.
You could have some neck issues that are aggrevated while you sleep at night.
The chiro has worked wonders for me!

Re: My left arm is in serious pain... why??
Honestly, it will get worse with the pregnancy. I was in agony for the last 7 weeks of my previous pregnancy. I tried to wear the brace as the PP recommended and it did help some. But the only thing that REALLY helped was moving my arm. I talked to my OB/GYN and she called it pregnancy induced carpal tunnel. It will go away after the baby is born but we are stuck with it for now LOL
I hope you feel better!

Yep I heard this too and my carpal has been acting up. They say it's because you are swelling and retaining fluids- which puts more pressure on the carpal tunnel nerve. It is worse after being on my computer at work all day too...

No, not really llike falling asleep. Just PAIN, almost like someone punched me all over my arm, lol, sorry the only way I know how to explain it. Im only about 19 weeks though... I thought I was good to go for at least another couple of months before all the pain starts.

Re: My left arm is in serious pain... why??
ok this is so wierd... in the related topics someone else also posted about left arm pain. They said thir doctor said it can be because of gas. Once she had a bowel movement the pain completely went away?!?
This *might* be true cause im really backed up.
ok so its either sleeping with my arm under the pillow or gas... great that narrows it down, LMAO.
