My little personal trainer!
The sun is shining today here on Long Island.
And Charlie knows it!
She keeps looking at me with her cute brown eyes...
Then going over to the fireplace and looking at her leash on the hook...
And looking back at me.
She is telling me that it's a perfect day for a walk and even though it's cold outside, we need to get out there!
I love my Dog! She is my personal trainer! She makes sure that even when it's cold outside, if the sun is out, we hit the pavement. And a little round the block won't do! She wants a mile or two! This way she'll be calm at night and not all hyper!
So I'm about to lace up my kicks, put Charlie's sweater and harness/leash on and head out the door!
If you take a walk with your dog today too, make sure that you thank them for keeping you active!

ETA: We took our walk! 28 degrees out and we made it through 1.4 miles which was far enough on such a cold day! Now she is curled up on my lap warming up! The two pictures I added are of her sitting quietly while I got my jacket on, waiting with anticipation, and her getting her sniff on while we were out walking! I swear our walks are always the highlight of her day! Image Attachment(s):

 I love taking my dog on walks/runs too! She definitely keeps me motivated to go a little faster because she makes it clear that she doesn't like to go slow! Even when I'm running she seems to be just walking at a comfortable pace!

And this is what happens when you take a little 16 lb dog on a 40 minute walk when it is 26 degrees out with 25 MPH winds! It WIPED her out!
12 hours later and she's been sleeping all day and hasn't asked to take her sweater off once. She is so exhausted!
We walk together ALL the time but usually not in such cold weather!
