I can feel your pain, today is my first day back at work and I can cry at the drop of a hat and am for that matter. I miss her so much that it hurts, but everyone keeps telling me that it will get better and I am sure it will but right now it just feels awful. I am looking forward to my time with her tonight!!

OMG it was so hard to leave Kaydyn in the beginning, but it does get easier. I loved bath time too, but my MIL gives her a bath every day. I now enjoy the fact that she does. It makes getting her ready in the morning easier. I just wake her up, change her diaper, and stick her in the car. She can sleep a little later and I don't have to worry about dressing her...my MIL does it after her bath.
I only get about 2 hrs with her at night and now that she is a squirmy toddler I like that some of the time isn't spent wrestling with her in the tub.
Also every night when we walk into my ILs house she comes running "Mommy....Daddy!!!!!" it's the best feeling ever.

I bathe DS at night, before bed. I'm not giving that up.
Me too.  I come home every night, we nap, we play, and I bathe him and put him to bed. It's awful still, even a month later, but...well, it is what it is.

Ughh..im so sorry. I dread having to go back to work in 6 weeks. really i do. some days when DS is fussing so bad and i want to kill myself,i wish i was at work. but then i feel bad b/c I KNOW im going to be a wreck when i do go back.
You'll get through it somehow and you're working to give DS the life you want him to have.

I feel your pain, I'm going back to work after only 6 wks. i still have 4 wks to go and feel so anxious about it already! You're not alone!

I am dreading having to go back and leaving DS. Like you I never wanted to be a SAHM, and I still don't know that I would be good doing it - but yet thinking about leaving him is killing me.

he is absolutely adorable!!
i know exactly how you feel, i go back to work next tues and i cry everyday about it. i know she'll be in good hands w/ her grandma, but i miss her so much when i'm away from her for an hour, i can't even imagine being away for an entire day.
try giving him a bath at night. DH and i bathe her together at night, and i won't give that up. she loves bath time.

I know exactly what you are going through. It does suck, BUT just think of the smiles and how happy he's giong to be when you get home.

I hate reading posts like this....our country should be really ashamed of itself for not providing better maternity leave rights for our mothers....

I COMPLETELY agree. My husband's cousins (from Italy) are currently living in Germany and she gets 2 YEARS PAID maternity leave.
I go back in January and I dread every moment as I did w/ my first DD. It does get easier....
your son is beautiful.

So sorry!!! It is sooooo hard to leave your baby!! it has taken me months to adjust and I am still angry over it. It gets a little better as time passes. Other than that there's not much consolation I can give you.
