My Max is in the hospital-update
please pray for my kitty!
Update: Max is coming home today and going to see the vet. He is stable and not dying but is sick and needs attention.
My vet is going to do an echo and a sono on his belly. I hope he doesn't have to stay over there. His initial bloods came back fine but they have to do bloods on his thyroid levels.
Max had 2 episodes of panting there and he's never done that with us. He was probably scared out of his mind!
I am leaving work to go get him and bring him to the vet.
what we don't do for our kids huh?
another update:
Max is home after I took him to his vet. He wants him to eat more and suggested stage 2 baby food. So we tried it and he loved it. I am having a hard time giving him his pills though. I tried just before and he snubbed it. I may have to crush it and put it in some wet food. I am going food shopping later and I will get some chicken and turkey which he loves.
He is wobbly on his hind legs and won't jump up. We are hoping that after we get the results of the thyroid tests we can up his meds and that will go away. He's also an older kitty and could have arthritis.
We are concerned but not worried.
another update:
heard from the vet..the blood tests finally came back. His thyroid levels are off the charts. We are increasing his meds and I am hand feeding him now for the most part. His thyroid gland is is huge and it's hard for him to lower his head to eat. We need to get something to raise the bowls up.

he has thyroid issues and a heart murmur and it has not been regulated. His thyroid glad is huge and he's pretty wobbly on his hind legs, high respiration and not really eating.
He will probably need a higher does of meds and some other tests...$$$$
I just miss him.
